Weatherbys Racing Bank Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race)

Better than ever when making a winning reappearance at Newbury (3m) under Freddie Mitchell in November but couldn't match it when only fourth at Kempton and others appeal as being slightly better treated.

Made it 3-3 for Dan Skelton with a useful performance to land a competitive staying handicap at the Aintree Grand National meeting in April, earning a further 11 lb rise for that victory. Good third at Carlisle on completed start this season and may not have reached his limit.

Successful on the second of 2 starts in Irish points and unbeaten in two starts as a novice hurdler last season, including the Hyde at Cheltenham 14 months ago. Concern that he's not been seen since but clearly has potential.

Career best when winning the Cheltenham Silver Trophy in April. However, let down by jumping since. Returns to hurdling in slightly easier race, but there's still a bit to prove.

Progressive in bumpers and 2-3 in novice hurdles at up to 21f last autumn. Off 11 months, creditable fifth of 13 in handicap at Cheltenham on return but followed it with a laboured display at Haydock. Headgear goes on.

Bounced back to very best, following a breathing operation, when readily winning 11-runner handicap hurdle at Newbury (20.5f, good to soft) 22 days ago. 8 lb higher now but must enter calculations.

Fairly useful hurdle and chase winner in France. Staying-on fifth at Cheltenham on last couple of starts but there's a chance this sharper track will catch him out.

Tough and likeable chaser who ended last season with an excellent effort in Scottish National (third) at Ayr. Lower in the weights over hurdles back from 9 months off but may be using this as a preparation to go back over fences.

Capitalised on the ease in grade when scoring at Huntingdon (20.5f) in March. Creditable placed efforts of late and can get competitive if jumping holds up.

Promising comeback this term before below-par run at Haydock in November. Much better when third of 8 in handicap hurdle at Chepstow (23.6f, good to soft) 23 days ago and could get involved.

Successful twice (at up to 19.8f) last season and shaped better than bare result when seventh of 17 in hot handicap hurdle (9/1) at Chepstow (19.4f, good to soft) on return 99 days ago, travelling as well as any. Can make presence felt.

Dual Fontwell winner in 2022/23 season and successful return after 11 months off in 23f Lingfield handicap fitted with cheekpieces. Solid third at former course since and deserves respect.
