Improved at only the third of asking for James Owen when winning a Fontwell handicap in October. Disappointing at Uttoxeter next time but quickly back to form when finding only one too good over 18.9f here a month ago.

Dual-hurdles winner. Very lightly raced in recent seasons but stepped up plenty on comeback effort when fourth of 12 in handicap hurdle at Cheltenham (24f) in November. Also shaped quite nicely at Bangor last time and he lurks on a dangerous mark.

Has a good record fresh and made a winning seasonal return at Carlisle in October. Raised 5 lb and hit the frame both starts since. Back up in trip.

Fairly useful bumper winner who made light of a 15-month absence to bag 7-runner novice hurdle at Wetherby (19.7f, heavy) in February. Unsuited by emphasis on speed when sixth at Cheltenham on final run of last season and he's expected to step up on reappearance run.

Bumper winner on debut in February and followed up on hurdles bow at Ayr (2m) later that month. Fell on chase debut at Wetherby in October but quickly back on the up when second at Kelso 3 weeks ago.

Largely progressive in handicaps, making it 3 wins in last 6 starts when seeing off 7 rivals over 21f at Ludlow last month. A 4 lb rise shouldn't prevent another prominent showing.

A three-time 2m4f scorer at Newcastle last term and showed benefit of reappearance when fourth at Uttoxeter in November. In keeping with form of the yard, he showed more when second at Wetherby 3 weeks ago but he is prone to the odd mistake.

Failed to make a splash over fences but down in the weights and he landed a bit of a touch at this venue (3m) 19 days ago. Drop back in trip no concern and 5 lb rise very fair.

Runner-up sole start in points. Failed to meet expectations in a bumper but positives to draw from all 3 starts over hurdles last season. Off 10 months ahead of handicap debut but he's in good hands.

THANKSFORTHEHELP caught the eye for the second time this season when fourth at Bangor and given the mark he's on these days, he looks ready to strike. Clondaw Royale landed a gamble at Haydock 3 weeks ago under his good-value conditional rider so he's second choice, ahead of Solar System.
