Very much bred for hurdling and created a good impression when off the mark in a 16-runner juvenile at Auteuil 3 months ago. Has been picked up by top connections since and looks a major player in this with promise of lots more to come.

Fair Flat winner in Ireland for Gavin Cromwell and has started well over hurdles, doubling his tally in this discipline at Taunton 19 days ago. Lacks the potential of some of his rivals, however.

Fair form on Flat, improved when scoring on handicap debut at Bellewstown (14.5f, good) in July. Left John Patrick Murtagh and gelded/tongue tied, he made a winning hurdles debut in 5-runner contest at Market Rasen last month. Sure to progress.

Smart on Flat in France, (stays 1½m), best effort when fifth in Prix du Jockey Club, down the field in another Group 1 last time. Sold from P. & J. Brandt €520,000 in October, then gelded ahead of this eagerly-awaited hurdles debut.

Lightly-raced winner at up to 1m on the Flat but it is a little concerning he was solid for just 9,000 gns out of M. D. O'Callaghan's yard and made little impact on hurdles debut following 15 months off at Cheltenham last month.

Fairly useful handicapper on Flat (stays 1¾m), successful twice in 2024, including final outing. Sold from Martyn Meade 95,000 gns later in October and has had a breathing op ahead of this hurdles debut.

Having been snapped up by a leading owner following a winning debut in France, LULAMBA has been backed into Triumph Hurdle favouritism and, open to lots of progress, hopes have to be high that he will remain unbeaten. This looks a cracking contest though, with Mondo Man a €520,000 recruit from the Flat, and Viyanni open to plenty of improvement, too.
