Timeform highlight two horses of interest at Wolverhampton this evening.
MORE THAN A FEELIN - 19:00 Wolverhampton
Alice Haynes’ three-year-old filly More Than A Feelin boasts a progressive profile on the all-weather and remains on a mark which suggests she’s capable of winning for the third time this year.
She got off the mark in a handicap over course and distance in July and, with the hood retained since, has mostly run well since, including when second behind a really progressive type in Tribal Chief at Kempton.
At the same track last time, More Than A Feelin got back on the up with a ready success in a contest that’s working out well, with both runner-up Lzaz and the fourth winning their next races. She’s 8 lb higher now but another bold bid is on the cards.
BALQAA - 19:30 Wolverhampton
Balqaa has been busy for Stella Barclay this year and after some promising efforts in defeat ended a long losing run with back-to-back wins at Southwell and Newcastle in September.
She did well to come from last to first in a steadily-run race at Southwell when staying on for a comfortable success and followed up in similar fashion at Newcastle a fortnight later from a 6 lb higher mark, again in a race run at a modest pace.
Balqaa’s good run of form came to a halt back at Newcastle last time, but she’s had a seven-week break since then and she will be a danger to all if that’s done the job of freshening her up.
