HURLERONTHEDITCH has had a few wind surgeries now but the latest tweak looks to have helped following a comeback second when beaten a neck by Dream Boy at Wetherby last month, and it's unlikely a 1lb rise for that will prevent another bold bid. He's only ever won a bumper but looks well capable of plenty of success over jumps when it clicks and this event on good ground appears to represent an ideal opening.
SPECIAL ACCEPTANCE has been left alone by the assessor for last month's stable debut second at Uttoxeter and he's one to stick with under Gavin Sheehan in this veterans' event. It's a while since he won but he's 6lb lower than for that victory and he's got plenty of placed form from last year to suggest he remains capable of adding to his tally, while good ground isn't an issue either.
OUR DYLAN hasn't run since the end of June but he goes well on decent ground and there's every reason to expect another bold bid given he backed up his wins here and at Stratford with a couple of placed efforts at Newton Abbot and hasn't gone up in the weights any more since the last run. Course form is always a plus and he's gone well fresh in the past too so there are plenty of positives, especially as top weight Jazz King looks to want more of a stamina test.
Stall 12 of 14 might not be ideal but TAN RAPIDO is normally sharply enough from the gates and might be able to pick up a reasonable early position with a couple of the slower starers in the line-up just on his inside. The first run after being gelded - when a close third over this course and distance - certainly offered plenty of encouragement, especially as it was his first spin since April, and the handicapper has left him on a mark of 81 which looks a rare spot of generosity from the assessor.
