No match for the aforementioned New Destiny in the opening round, Golden Palace (T3) still ran right up to his best, crossing the line in a fair 35.13 (calculated).

Prior to that, he displayed plenty of courage to score at the expense of the reopposing Icemans Girl in a trial stakes and, if hitting the lids with the same zest, this son of Pestana could have the edge at 7.44.
