The Tottenham boss told BT Sport: "It's still difficult to talk. Thank you football, thank you these guys, my players. This type of emotion without football I think is impossible to live. I am so grateful to be a coach and to be in football and to be living this type of moment."
"I think everyone deserves it in this club, with all the tough times we've had in the five years that we have been here. To have the chance to play a final is amazing. I want to remember my family, it is for them too. For the people who support us in that moment, it is amazing to reward them."
Pochettino also paid tribute to Lucas' three-goal showing in Amsterdam: "They are all heroes but he is a superhero. Unbelievable hat-trick. He deserves it, he is a great guy."
In the press conference, Pochettino said: "It's difficult with words to describe my feelings and my emotions.
"I think it's one of the most important nights in my life. How the game finished, everything that happened, the first half, how we planned to play, how the plan was down after three minutes when we conceded the goal, and I think everything was amazing.
"The most important thing I want to say is to congratulate my players. They own the football, they delivered a great job. For me, they are heroes. I've told you the last six months, I repeat this sentence.
"I think they are superheroes now. To get the club to the final of the Champions League I think is very close to a miracle.
"No one believed in us from the beginning of the season. We are so close to the top four and have the opportunity in Madrid to play the final against Liverpool.
"It is an amazing season in our new home. This chapter that we're going to close now, until June 1, it can be amazing to close the chapter playing a final. In case we won it should be an amazing book."
On the final against Liverpool, he said: "Allow me to relax a little bit, there is going to be time to talk about Liverpool. I want to congratulate Jurgen Klopp and all the players and Liverpool, because I think they were amazing.
"We enjoyed a lot, watching the tie against Barcelona, they are heroes too and of course it is going to be an amazing final between two English teams that for sure we are going to enjoy."
"You're not really going to quit Tottenham are you?"

"I need to say thank you to my teammates, because what I am living here is unbelievable."
Lucas Moura. Tottenham legend.
🎤
Lucas Moura told BT Sport: "It's impossible to explain how I'm feeling. It's difficult to play here against Ajax but I always believed in my team-mates. We have a lot of qualities even without key players.
"We need to fight in every game like this."
On his hat-trick, Lucas added: "It's amazing. Football gives moments like this that we cannot imagine, so we need to enjoy.
"It's the best moment in my career. I only need to say thank you to my team-mates because what I am living here is unbelievable."
"Heart and Lucas Moura, that's how we won the game!"

"He will be a hero, I hope he gets a statue after this!"
Christian Eriksen is so typically calm and composed after another insane Champions League comeback 🙌
Spurs star Christian Eriksen said: "I think it was a ridiculous game again. We were far down and we tried to fight back and in the end we were just lucky, lucky we scored.
"It's a dream to reach the Champions League final. We wouldn't have been able to look at ourselves in the mirror if we'd gone down 3-0 or 4-0.
"It was not tactical today, it was more of a fight, more heart."
On hat-trick hero Lucas, Eriksen added: "I hope he gets a statue in England after this."
"'I'm very proud to play in this team."

"We're fourth in the league, everyone is complaining about us, and we're in the final of the Champions League!" spoke to Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose following Spurs' amazing win 🙌
The defender said: "We saw Liverpool last night and it just goes to show it's not over until it's over. The gaffer mentioned it (Liverpool's win against Barcelona) at the hotel before we left and he just said 'that's the right attitude'.
"He doesn't mind losing but we have to lose in the right way. Had we not won tonight he would have been very proud of how we finished the game.
"We're lucky that we've gone through and we look forward to the final."
"I've got to start training even harder and prove myself!"
— Football on BT Sport (@btsportfootball)
"Hopefully I'll be back, and hopefully I'll have a starting place."
He's working hard on his fitness, but is worried for his place after a Lucas Moura hat-trick 👀
Harry Kane, who missed the match through injury, said: "I'm just speechless. I'm a fan first and foremost, I want to win. I know how much it means to the club and everyone involved with the club - the players, the manager, the staff, the chairman.
"As a player I'm looking at the game and thinking 'what would I be doing if I was out there' and things like that. It's hard to switch off from that mode.
"The lads dug deep, showed heart, showed character, showed passion and that's all we asked for. Just an incredible game.
"Over the two legs we probably didn't play as well as we'd have liked but we found a way and that's what football's about. We found a way to beat Ajax, even when we're not at our best and that shows a really good team."
Kane is optimistic about recovering from an ankle injury in time to play in the final on June 1.
"Hopefully. Rehab is going well so far. I start straight-line running this week. We'll see. So far so good, so if it carries on as it should I would hope to be. There's still a few weeks to go."
With Spurs having progressed through two rounds without him and Lucas racking up three goals on Wednesday, Kane added: "We beat City, we beat Ajax in the semi... I've got to start training even harder and prove myself in front of the gaffer!
"Hopefully I'll be back fit and try to get a starting place."
🎶 Tottenham's choice of music might be rubbing Man City's noses in it a bit!

Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag said: "I am very proud of this team and that they have made it this far and the developments in the team. We have had a great run. I said it in the dressing room, for today and tomorrow we can find no words.
"We will have to deal with it, we will have to regain our composure, we owe that to ourselves and our fans. We have had a great season.
"I told the players that it was hard to find the words and that football is cruel.
"This is the cruel side that we have to endure tonight. We have to go on, when you are so close, the players realise that and you need time to get that sorted out."
"They will never learn a lesson like that."

"It will be a long summer..."
